The Summer Breeze is a fabulous day of charity bikes rides across Hertfordshire starting and finishing at Waterford Village Green. There is a ride for everyone, from a 40k road ride, to the 45k off-road challenge along tracks and woodlands, and a fabulous 90k ride along quiet roads from Hertfordshire up to Cambridgeshire and back.
Route maps, GPS coordinates and route profiles are available for all routes.
All routes will have full sportive back up with signage, marshalls, medical and mechanical support in case of emergency. There will be friendly refreshment stops along the routes, changing facilities and toilets at the start and finish.
This year British Cycling’s Go Ride will be running a cycling event on the village green for children, teaching bike handling skills and including fun activities such as cycle limbo and musical bikes!
Throughout the day, we will be holding a festival on the village green which is free to all, you don’t have to be a rider to enjoy the day. The bbqs will be going from 10am and our wonderful teas and cakes will be on offer.
From 12pm there will be live music on the stage, a bar, locally brewed beers and plenty of delicious food available.
We are looking for volunteers to help on refreshment stands along the routes and back at the village green. If you are able to help us in any way, please contact Victoria at victoria@mudlarksgarden.
